The room had a bad odor, carpets were nasty, parking is tight, definitely needs a remodel. Friendly front desk person, only good thing about staying there.

"Very poor quality and bad customer service"
July, 2018
It was my understanding that I had reserved a room with bunk beds. At checking in they were very unhelpful and unconcerned about my needs. I went to talked to them in 3 different occasions, in 3 different dates about getting what I paid for. The last date I was there, I talk to Hispanic man seem like the manager and he replied by asking me. How many is there in your party. To which I said five, with a tone of voice he reply; your room only allows 4. To wish I didn't reply because I was being attacked. After the first night we spent there, after we came back from our trip. The room smelled like old humidity and it was humid. I asked to be moved to another room. to which, they say there is no more rooms available and that it is probably my fault cuz I left the AC on. Our towels were replaced with dirty towels. And there was cockroaches in there on the second day. This place has very bad customer service poor room service and low-quality rooms. I will never recommend wyndam.

"Bad part of San Diego"
July, 2018
Booked this trip for 3 Nights with tickets to San Diego Zoo and Sea World, Hotel was very Run Down, Dirty, Stinky, Room was very smelly, we are lucky our room did not have roaches as others have posted. A/C worked but room overall was dirty and depressing. Went to the Zoo and told myself it was what you do when you are on vacation that matters, Room is just for recooperating. But 2nd night, The people above us had a kid doing laps and running back and forth really loudly, could not sleep at all, we left San Diego and cancelled our Sea World trip because we wanted to get out of there badly. Went back to Bishop Ca and stayed in a nice Hotel for the rest of our trip. Please, do not stay here if sleep and cleanliness is important.

This was the first time our daughter went to San Diego and she enjoyed it tremendously. She loved the bunk beds in the room. We would definitely return back and stay there.

"Recent vacation stay"

I didn't check the reviews. Big mistake looking at this old oversized motel. I did remember someone mentioning a particular person at the desk. I gave her a tip and asked for a nice room. No problem. The room was recently renovated. This is no suite as the king bed is next to to long counter with the bathroom sink. I have never EVER seen floors so filthy! My great grand kids were barefoot and it looked like they walked the streets of San Diego for a month straight. I kid you not. There must of been some wet paint somewhere in the room. I can't believe it gone on my new Binn Ristretto. I was totally pissed.

Outdated hotel in rough area of town. It’s close to the airport (which is why it was selected), but the room was small and outdated, beds were over-worn, and the ventilation system in our room was non functioning. Adjacent neighbors had doors propped open playing music and smoking vape. Just had the feel of a seedy hotel.

I was accused and charged for taking towles. Why would i take towles? It was after I left a bad review on booking.com. The floor was dirty the beds and pillows were hard and they deactivated our hotel keys. I was transferred to speak to the housekeeping executive I left a messege and I have not received a call back. I feel really bad because we did not take anything from them. Its defamation of character. Im not a theive. I have my own towels I don't need theirs. I spoke with the corporate office and submitted a claim with my bank. This is just robery on their side. Why do I have to pay for something I didnt do. I know its a great location for Seaworld but I recommened stay away from The Wyham Garden San Diego. I've traveled and stayed and many hotels around the world. This is the worst experience I've ever had.

The stay was excellent. Demetrius helped us out very well. When we saw the first room, we wanted to change it to a king bed instead of 2 double beds and he gladly accommodated us and changed our room. He also placed us where my large vehicle would fit well since the parking lot spaces were small in size. This hotel was also within walking distance from Old Town San Diego (appr 1.2 miles)

"Phantom shuttle service"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed November 06, 2018
Arrived mid afternoon at airport on Saturday, and found that their shuttle service only runs from 06-00 until 14-00. When booking and seeing that they offer a shuttle service, I had specifically contacted them by telephone and was assured of course that the shuttle ran until late evening. I booked a room only because of that. Instead I arrived at airport and was informed at Information Desk that it stops at 14-00. This is luring guests to book under false pretenses. I had a taxi fare of nearly $30. 5 stars for dishonesty, 2 stars for accommodation
