It was a great way to see and learn about attractions in San Diego. My family that was visiting enjoyed it too. Would definitely recommend it.
Tip: Check for any activities going on downtown that may interfere with tour. Comicon prevented us from seeing Gaslamp District...

The quality of the tour on these type of sightseeing tours is totally dependent upon the narrator. We have been fortunate to get good ones on all of the different OTT tours we have taken. this one was no exception, the narrator brought to life the city of San Diego. Based on the various stops and her descriptions, we knew where to go and what to do when we were on our own time. .

We came on a Sat. The free parking area was full and other lots were charging a minimum of $5 an hour. Saw a government building a couple of blocks away and the lot was pretty empty. Sign said parking for Old Town weekends and after 5pm weekdays. Perfect. The trolley is a good way to check things out and you can jump on and off at the various stops. A trolley shows up twice an hour 30 min apart. Drivers have the schedule. Complete circuit will take about 2 hours. Start your day early and make the best of it. Plenty to see and do at some of the stops.

this was one of the best hop-on hop-off trolley's we have taken. It stopped at great places. Was convenient to maximize our time, and circled around regularly without long waits! In fact, when the last bus was full at 5:15 the company added another trolley to make sure we got to where we needed to go!

Frequently Asked Questions about Old Town Trolley Hop-on Hop-off Sightseeing Tour

How long does the tour last?
It lasts two hours if you don’t get off. Otherwise, make an entire day of the hop-on, hop-off tour with 11 different stops in San Diego and Coronado. You may hop on and off at any one of our convenient stops throughout the entire day. Depending on your start time, you may also use your ticket to enjoy your tour in segments by hopping off at one or two of our distinctive stops on the loop. The number of stops you can explore in one day depends on the time of year that you are touring and the amount of time you have on the day of your tour.

If you wish to stay on board your trolley and enjoy our fascinating narrative presenting a great overview of “America’s Finest City” without hopping on and off, the entire loop takes approximately two hours.

What time do the tours start?
The Old Town Trolley Tour begins every day (except Thanksgiving and Christmas) at 9:00 am at the Old Town Depot; however, you can begin your tour at any of our stops. Please note: Each stop has a different starting time.

How often do trolleys come to each stop?
Our trolleys come by approximately every 30 minutes, though times may vary slightly due to traffic conditions and city events. Depending on demand, the time of year, day of the week, and time of day, our in-field dispatchers often put more trolleys in the tour loop at an increased frequency. We are San Diego's most popular tour, and during peak times, we cannot guarantee that each trolley will have available seats.

Are your trolleys wheelchair accessible?
Please allow 24-hour advance notice to arrange for wheelchair accessibility. We will make every effort to provide reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities.

How do I get to Old Town?
Our Old Town Trolley Depot is located at the Old Town Market on 4010 Twiggs Street and San Diego Avenue in the heart of Old Town San Diego, the Birthplace of California about a four minute drive from the "Old Town Exit" on Interstate 5. Public transportation and parking are available at this stop.

What is the last tour of the day?
The last tour of the day varies depending on the depot that you are starting from, the time of year, the day of the week, and any citywide events in town. Please refer directly to Old Town’s tour schedule.
