"Wonderful way to see San Diego!"

My daughter & I loved touring San Diego on the Trolley tour. The hop on and hop off option allowed us to spend additional time exploring locations such as Coronado Island and Balboa Park. I definitely recommend this attraction and would do it again when back in San Diego

Sitting at the stop waiting for the next trolley because the 10:25 left at 10:20. What a difference 5 minutes can make.

Tip: The times are squishy so be ready to spend time sitting on benches waiting either because you have to show up early to make sure you dont miss it or you show up on time only to realize you missed it.

We enjoyed our tour and liked the ability to spend as much time or as little time at each of the stops. Don’t bother exiting at Seaport village until after 10am, when the stores open up.

"Best Way To Tour Around San Diego "

For most of our trip in San Diego, we did not rent a car, but still wanted to see the highlights of San Diego. The Old Town Trolley Tours are the best way to do this. We were picked up near our hotel in Little Italy and enjoyed riding out to Old Town where we spent a couple of hours before taking in other major points of the city, like Balboa Park, Coronado, the Harbor area, and so forth before getting back to Little Italy. You can get off at any stop. Just be mindful of the last pickup time at your stop. Our driver told us about people who get stranded because they didn’t pay attention. The trolley is not like a coach bus tour that you hire. Its a hop on and hop off. It’s an optional mode of transportation that happens to give fun facts along the way. You will get left with the assumption that you are at your stop and forgotten about, so be mindful. If you do stay within the schedule, the trolleys run roughly every 30 minutes so you can catch the next trolley to you next destination. Plan your stops accordingly. The trolleys are mostly open, so have a sweater or jacket especially when crossing Coronado Bridge. Not much to block the wind unless the plastic comes down, but then you lose a clear view for sightseeing. Note: You will need your ticket prior to boarding. They do not sell tickets on the trolley. You can get one at a station IF it is open by the stop. The stands in Old Town are generally open, but many of the city stops were not. I found a special online and took advantage of that. I showed my email confirmation of purchase and that worked fine for the both of us. Definitely recommend.

We loved our tour. It had been many years since we were in San Diego so this was the perfect way to dodge the traffic, see the sights and hear all the stories about the city. We had Captain Bob and he was wonderful...... made it all come to life with its history. Highly recommend this - great way to see something, wait for another trolley and charge off to the next site.

"A great tour to know the best of San Diego"

My first time in the city, and this tour was very useful to locate and identify the main attractions that is worth visiting later (such as Balboa park). To get the most out of it, you have to be in the early bus and get off at the most interesting stops. I had to go on a not so busy day so I could go up and down without problems. Very nice drivers and the staff in general was very cordial. I recommend it as a quick and safe way to get to know San Diego in a short time.

Depending on your start time, you may also use your ticket to enjoy your tour in segments by hopping off at one or two of our distinctive stops on the loop. The number of stops you can explore in one day depends on the time of year that you are touring and the amount of time you have on the day of your tour.

If you wish to stay on board your trolley and enjoy our fascinating narrative presenting a great overview of “America’s Finest City” without hopping on and off, the entire loop takes approximately two hours.

What time do the tours start?
