"Great experience!"
July, 2016
The one hour guided tour of the South Bay was both educational and relaxing. The sights to see were well worth pictures and the crew was friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely sail again!

""A Widow experience""
July, 2015
I am a widow lost my husband of 34 years married. I said it's time to travel so I have one son in San Diego, I booked the most amazing cruise with FlagShip. My son and his wife and our grandchildren had an amazing time, learned about the sights and loved the view of that bridge going towards Coronado. My only regret is that the camera didn't work and our pictures prior to getting on the boat didn't develop. But I will be back, to retake the picture and have another beautiful time.

"A wonderful day on the bay"
January, 2015
This sail was on my 25th anniversary. The captain was very informative and great at his job. Only 4 others on the tour made it very special. There were all kinds of free drinks and snacks for us. They provided coats and blankets and everything you could need for a perfect day on the water.

"2 Hour Harbor Cruise"

Did the 2 hr harbor cruise at 3pm, great narrated sunset cruise by the best, Dana. Definitely recommend the 3pm cruise, wear a sweatshirt it gets really chilly on the water especially once the sun is setting. Great info about Coronado Island, the bridge and water views of the entire bay. 2 hr tour goes north and south.

"Whale Watching "
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

I went on a Flagship whale watching cruise with the Birch Aquarium. The onboard naturalist and docents were very knowledgeable and friendly. The captain warned us of a 3 foot swell and recommended Dramamine if we thought we might get sick (on sale for $3). The boat officers were very helpful to several people who did not take this advice and felt seasick in the slightly choppy water. I went for the migration of the gray whales. Unfortunately, we didn't see any...did see some sea lions though. They did provide a voucher to go again for free though, which I thought was a nice gesture (albeit a bit impractical for visitors). I would have preferred a voucher to the aquarium. Ultimately, worth the $40 and 3.5 hours. Parking at the dock is tricky. I parked on a side street and found a great farmers' market for pre-cruise coffee and, later, lunch. Also, note that I shopped around online a bit and found a 10% discount code for this.

I enjoyed the tour up the river. It went past the docks with all the naval ships and the guide explained what type they were. I was surprised how many there were to see. It was well run. The guide was good. Also going under the big bridge was also interesting. Well worth the time.

"A Very nice water tour"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed October 18, 2017
We took the 2 hour tour which is the upper & lower parts of the harbor. The boat goes in one direction for an hour then docks to let the 1 hr. passengers off and you stay on for the 2nd hour. We were on the 11:15am tour and it went south first which was more interesting than the north tour. All in all it was very informative and interesting. The commentator was very good on the Spirt of San Diego. This boat had 2 bars (level 2 & 3) and 4 hands on board. The snacks (chips & muffins) & sodas were $2.50. We went in mid Oct. temps were mid 80's and quite comfortable on the top deck, rear and front. It was a little warm inside unless near a door to catch the breeze. The naval ship port on the south cruise is amazing.
