"Great experience!"
July, 2016
The one hour guided tour of the South Bay was both educational and relaxing. The sights to see were well worth pictures and the crew was friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely sail again!

""A Widow experience""
July, 2015
I am a widow lost my husband of 34 years married. I said it's time to travel so I have one son in San Diego, I booked the most amazing cruise with FlagShip. My son and his wife and our grandchildren had an amazing time, learned about the sights and loved the view of that bridge going towards Coronado. My only regret is that the camera didn't work and our pictures prior to getting on the boat didn't develop. But I will be back, to retake the picture and have another beautiful time.

"A wonderful day on the bay"
January, 2015
This sail was on my 25th anniversary. The captain was very informative and great at his job. Only 4 others on the tour made it very special. There were all kinds of free drinks and snacks for us. They provided coats and blankets and everything you could need for a perfect day on the water.

"Relaxing and informative"

We opted for the two hour cruise, going to the south first and then north. The boat returns to the dock for 15 minutes in between, and if you are interested in only one end of the harbor, my family would recommend the south harbor. We are not a military family but we found the descriptions of the large vessels to be quite interesting as we cruised by them. We also skirted Coronado Island and heard about its history. The views of downtown SD were gorgeous. There are snacks for sale and a nice bar onboard. Staff are enthusiastic and friendly. Most of the good stuff is on the starboard (right) side of the boat. We sat outside at the bow and that was a pretty good vantage point though not particularly popular.

"Fun and interesting harbor cruise"

My wife and bought tickets on line and got the big discount on top of my military discount, thus saving $9. We (read I) wanted to see the pacific fleet so we chose the two hour harbor cruise for only five dollars more. Very informative, wonderful views on a very stable boat. It was a very nice day and the tour guide gave a very informative packed running dialogue throughout the voyage. We highly recommend this cruise.

We did the two hour harbour tour and were not disappointed. The narrator was good and the weather was great. Many opportunities for pictures. There was beer and cocktail options with some snacks on board. Prices were reasonable. A must see to get a flavour of San Diego from the water.

"Whale, dolphin and sea lion watching success!"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed January 27, 2018 NEW
We were able to book online the night before with a 10% off coupon code. I intentionally picked flagship because they advertised that staff from the local aquarium would lead the tour. They did have a naturalist speaking, and they also brought along several volunteers who were pretty knowledgeable. But overall I felt the naturalist allowed for as LOT of dead time, and stuck to the only most basic facts about gray whales. It would have been nice to learn more about the dozens of dolphins around our boat (other than the name), other whales in the water, challenges to the whales, etc. Other boats near us seemed to have more talkative guides. Our boat was clean and staff was friendly. Great, plentiful sightings of dolphins, sea lions and four gray whales.

"Whales Watching Cruises"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed January 08, 2018
We have taken the trip with some great expectation, but returned rather disappointed. The trip is very informative, thanks to some marine wildlife volunteers onboard. Don't expect to see the Whales closeup, or anything at all. We saw some Dolphins and wild Seals from distance. Over all a good day out with family, but not a Whales watching experience. Take a warm jacket with you as it can get very windy and cold.
