Halloween Spooktacular at SeaWorld

San Diego’s Favorite Halloween Event for Families Returns https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=maAk-drlwvI Watch silly and spooky live shows and presentations, enjoy fun Halloween activities and trick-or-treat for candy and goodies throughout the colorfully decorated park. Halloween Spooktacular is one of San Diego’s biggest fall festivals, with weekends brimming with family fun. Get in the spooky spirit and catch popular live shows like Clyde & Seamore’s Halloween Bash and Sesame Street’s Who Said Boo?!, join delightful Halloween dance parties and let the little ones trick-or-treat throughout the park in a safe, family-friendly environment. Oh, and be on the lookout for singing pumpkins in the park. Trick-or-Treat hours run from 12 p.m. to one hour before park closing time. Trick-Or-Treat Bag Policy Please join us in our efforts to protect our seas by bringing a reusable bag or Halloween bucket from home for treats. You can also pick up a resuable bag at the park (see image) for as little as 99¢ at any park gift shop. When you do, 5% of each bag purchase will go directly to the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund. Please do not bring plastic bags for trick-or-treating and team with us to protect animals and the environment.

The Encinitas Oktoberfest will feature music, Bavarian dancers, German food and drink, and a street craft faire featuring more than 200 vendors. The 23rd Annual Encinitas Chamber of Commerce Oktoberfest will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Mountain Vista Drive and El Camino Real. This event is completely FREE and fun for the entire family! Free parking is available at the Flora Vista Elementary School (1690 Wandering Road) with free shuttle service from the parking lot to the Oktoberfest site. The event entertainment features authentic German music, the Gemütlichkeit Alpine Dancers, carnival rides, a street craft faire featuring 200 vendors and more! The family food and refreshment tent along with the Keepin’ It Local Craft Beer Garden will be serving authentic German food and beers from German & local San Diego breweries. In June of 1935, San Diego hosted the inaugural Fleet Week celebration as part of the California Pacific International Exposition. Under command of U.S. Navy Admiral Joseph M. Reeves, Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Fleet, 114 warships and 400 military planes arrived with more than 3,000 commissioned officers and 55,000 enlisted men. Thousands of San Diegans and other exposition-goers were guests on the various ships. Over time, community and business leaders who understood the great depth of public support for our military cultivated Fleet Week San Diego.
