"Great central hotel"

Hotel was lovely with friendly staff and good facilities. The rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We left our child's teddy here and they posted it on to our next location, much to our relief! Great central location, close to shopping plaza, tram and restaurants.

this place is a delight. couldn't believe how nice the rooms are for the price. I brought my dog and the additional cost was only $35. (parking in the lot behind the hotel is kind of outrageous at $36 or so for 24 hours, but this seems about average for the city.) very comfy bed, nice bathroom, helpful staff. wish the windows would have opened in the room, but otherwise perfect.

"Weekend trip to San Diego"

This was my first trip to San Diego. The hotel was convenient to restaurants and shopping. Reception was helpful and we used valet each day. The bathroom is right at the foot of the bed and the sink is right behind the front the door to the room so it was a little cramped. The view was of the other side of the hotel.

"Clean rooms, but..."

Room was clean though rather small and cramped. The shower has more of a focus on form rather than function. Those ½ glass, ½ open showers are such a hassle as inevitably water soaks the bathroom floor. I did appreciate how quickly the hot water arrived. One of the joys of business travel is not having to put down the toilet seat, but alas mine would not stay up. You lift it and it immediately slammed down. There was also a light out above the sink and mirror which made it difficult to primp and preen in the AM. Both issues were reported to the front desk but no efforts were made to correct them during my stay. Also, the internet was horrible. Really it was terrible. The connection was spotty at best and often there was no connectivity at all. This too I asked about and the counter person said sorry but offered no remedy. Lastly, their website is poorly designed. They don't make it easy to view or alter your reservation or to contact them. Their online option for reviewing your stay doesn't work. I tried repeatedly to leave similar feedback as above but their application failed each time. There numerous other hotels in and around this area of downtown that provide a more positive experience overall.

"Reasonable price for the location"

Put us in a room on 4th floor that wasn't made up. Had to go back to the lobby with family and luggage! Halfhearted apology and room reassignment. The valet parking is a mess ($36/day). Be ready to wait for 15 minutes to get your car. No service elevator, so you are always competing with the hotel staff for the elevator space. Room did not have adequate towels and toiletries for family. Toilet door could not be locked. Strange shower design. Small room, no space to move once inside. Free water bottles. A reasonably priced wine in room ($22), but did not try it.
