The staff at the front desk, housekeeping and the bar were wonderful. Special thank you to Erica at the front desk, she was efficient, pleasant and gave us some solid advice on where to eat and drink. The location is excellent for business or pleasure in San Diego. Close to convention center, petco park, restaurants and bars. The rooms are not carpeted, which is a huge plus. Loved the hotel. Will definitely recommend it!

I stayed here while attending a national meeting at the Hyatt. I always look for other options than the meeting venue to check out boutique properties. This place was awesome. The rooms are modern and clean and hip. Enjoy a drink at the rooftop and have nice views of SanDiego. It is walking distance to the waterside and GasLamp.

We stayed here prior to our cruise for 3 nights. We came in on a late flight and didn’t arrive until 11pm. The receptionist on the desk was extremely welcoming, explained the facilities and we were able to purchase some snacks from the lobby to tide us over till breakfast. Good sized room and bathroom-although the view was none to special. We had breakfast in the hotel a couple of days- not too expensive and nicely presented. Even the expresso coffee was OK-we are Aussies and often forego what passes for coffee in the US! We visited the rooftop bar once-thank goodness for the fire pit to keep us warm. We found the drinks prices a bit excessive so didn’t visit again. Would stay again -we try to walk most places when downtown and this hotel was ideally situated for that

"Front desk not friendly or cooperative"

I stayed at Hotel Indigo while I was in San Diego attending a conference. The hotel is at a comfortable walking distance from the conference Center. The front desk staff was consistently unpleasant and not helpful. The hotel rooms have neither a refrigerator nor microwave in them. When asked if I could get them sent to my room even for an additional charge, the replies were not pleasant. They were not cooperative with any general queries or questions. One evening my family joined me in the lobby for drinks. My daughter and niece were being toddlers and playing around. The staff had a problem with everything they did. Will never stay there again and do not recommend.

"Great place to stay, top location"

I have stayed in the Gaslamp district several times before, but usually in an older hotel. I chose the Indigo this time and I am very glad I did. From the moment we checked in the staff were refreshingly helpful and engaging, the young girl who checked us in was excellent (wish I remembered her name) and a great 'face' of the hotel. The location is great - close to everything the Gaslamp district has to offer, and we watched the Padres play from the rooftop bar as it looks directly into Petco park. The rooms are excellent, well put together, very clean, and the beds are probably the best we had found on our 3 week trip. The staff were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble, both in the hotel and in the bar and restaurant. I cant really say too much more other than we were impressed across the board, and will be back... well done!
