Cleans rooms, Nice view, Delicious buffet breakfast. The only thing, I did not like was the food in the restaurant at dinner. I don't recomend the food and service of the hotel restaurant.

"Not up to my usual Hilton Property standards"

Let me begin by stating that we are Diamond members. We stay in a LOT of Hilton properties. You become accustomed to a level of service, whether you're staying at a resort or a Hampton. Uniformly, across the board, we are greeted cordially, thanked for our loyalty and sent to our awesome room. This so didn't happen here. We had two rooms and we spent quite a bit of time waiting to check in. In a LOUD, crowded lobby. It was annoying as heck. Reminded me of Vegas. I know it's petty, but we weren't even given our water bottles at check in. It wasn't until the hubs asked me about them that I remembered and went back downstairs to get them. We DID get plenty of coupons for breakfast. That wasn't forgotten. The room was nice. It was clean and had a great view. We didn't have cleaning service (at our request) so I can't comment on that other than the lady was very nice and gave me some extra towels the second day when she saw me in the hallway and realized I wasn't getting service again that day. I WISH I had gotten her name, because other than the lady who did my massage, she was the best staff member that weekend. The food was good. A little more than the typical Hilton morning fare. VERY expensive if you aren't on a coupon. Only $10 for the buffet if you have the coupon. GOOD breakfast. The service at the pool was horrible. Flat out worst bar/food service I've ever seen. Two female servers circled our area for 20 minutes and never once came to get our order nor came close enough for us to flag either one down. We ended up getting our own drinks at the bar. CRAPPY service there. The spa was amazing. Well. Let me clarify. The massage at the spa was AMAZING. The mani/pedi at the spa - besides being overpriced - TOOK THREE HOURS. I seriously lost my massage feel good zen buzz in there. The nail tech would not stop talking. Truly. Three hours and talk talk talk. Then come out and get stuck with a 20 added automatically for a tip. I was overdue for checkout (because who knew it would take three hours) and really just wanted to leave at that point, so did nothing about the tip. I also should have complained to management, but just wanted to leave by that point. All in all, the one maid and the massage tech are the whole reason this place got three stars - not one. The rooms and the service just weren't worth the cost of the room - despite the lovely view. However, go get a massage (not a manicure) at the spa. Seriously worth every. Last. Cent.

We booked the Hilton as we wanted to be in the gaslight area. I am a Hilton honors member and was offered upgrades by email, I took them but was told I hadn't got them when reaching reception. Reception was mobbed as there was a nestle conference on and most of them are Hilton honors I am guessing. The digital key is a farce - more quirky than necessary as you have to go to reception. Comicon finished the day before so I am thinking everyone was frazzled. We got to our room around two thirty with three teenagers to be told the pool and other areas closed off for rest of day due to conference. WHEN BOOKING ASK IF THERE ARE CONFERENCES AND IF YOU WHICH AMENITIES ARE CLOSED. we were offered the omni pool which is across the street. It's a postage stamp and we left as no seats or beds. Beds are comfy, do no complaints. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and fresh. The breakfast area is s big gloomy. The pool size is great but the water a bit dirty so be careful. No pool service but there is a bar on the side. The bridge view rooms give you an excellent view of the bridge but a horrible one of the Dole Distribution centre.

Where to begin? We paid over $1000.00 a night to be near the Convention Center during Comic-Con. The curtains were filthy upon arrival. Housekeeping said that they would change them but during our 5 night stay, they never did. Holes and rust stains were present on bed linens. There is a gap at the bottom of the door which allows all hall noise to enter your room. Parking was a joke as they changed the entrance every time we left due to the convention. Room service got every order wrong and put all condiments on every order even though they were requested to be on the side. There was a ten minute call hold to order the food in the first place which should have been a warning. We ended up walking to the Marriott for every meal the last two days of our stay. Would never return to this Hilton and we are seriously reconsidering all future stays on Hilton properties.

My husband and I came to San Diego to visit his son and girlfriend. We found the Hilton to be unfriendly. We went to the cocktail lounge paid $147 for 8 cocktails. and we waited on ourselves. I have been a road warrior and stayed in many hotels and feel this is not up to Hilton standards.
