"Pleasant day at SeaWorld San Diego"
July, 2016 NEW
My friend came over from Viet Nam and wanted to experience different venues that Southern California has to offer. She heard a number of venues but SeaWorld was not on the top of her list. I merely suggested that she would move it up because it'll be a good short trip to San Diego and she'll have fun there. After some more persuasion, she bypassed Universal Studios for SeaWorld San Diego because she didn't have that much time left in California.
We were only there from 12:00 pm until closing, she explained that she had a wonderful time at SeaWorld. She said it was worth the trip because she has never experience anything like it before. She did attend similar venues in South Korea and in another country but she liked San Diego the best. She travels a lot. Oh, I forgot to tell you that she's 33 years old.
Tip: Wear sunblock.

"Best SeaWorld trip ever!"
July, 2016 NEW
Our son graduated high school this year. He wanted us to take him to San Diego so we can go to SeaWorld and the Zoo. SeaWorld was amazing! It was super clean & the entire staff was very friendly. All the shows were terrific also. The best part of the visit for me
besides the rides and animals, was the food. I recommend everyone to buy the all-you-can-eat wristband because it pays for itself in two meals. The food quality is impressively delicious and high-end. I think I ate 6 times in a nine-hour visit! Lol! Excellent job SeaWorld!
Tip: Great value & excellent family outing

"SeaWorl San Diego trip"
July, 2016 NEW
I purchased our tickets ahead of time on the reserve San Diego site, the only issue I had is that the site stated it would take 90 minutes to get my tickets and after waiting 4 hours with not receiving the tickets I called customer service and was able to get them in minutes. There was no issue getting into the park with my tickets. The experience was great, yes there were a lot of people at SeaWorld but it was not overly crowded. We got great seats to every show, lines for rides were no more than 25minutes, and the exhibits were not overly crowded. Overall it was a perfect day.
Tip: Bring sunscreen. You can bring out side food, saves money.

Took my family of six and had a great time. The tickets were easy to use and we walked right up to the gate instead of standing in the purchase line. My kids enjoyed all the shows and they were educational as well.
Tip: The water rides are fun to get a little wet on the hot days.

My BFF and I decided the night before to search out the best prices online for Seaworld. I called reserve san diego and made sure we could get into Sea World without printing the tickets. It was so easy, no lines showed my phone and got in. We actually stayed at Sea World for over 8 hours and enjoyed all the shows and rides. Really enjoyed my day! Thanks for making it affordable for us!

"Fun-filled day at SeaWorld San Diego"
July, 2016 NEW
Most people think that SeaWorld San Diego is for young children. That's not completely true: it is not only for young children and also fun for adults and seniors. It's not a huge park, one can easily wonder around. There are plenty of shows. I strongly suggest that one should look at the program the day before, well plan so that you don't miss anyone.
Tip: As all shows are popular, be 15 minutes before show starts. Sun screen is essential as well.

My two daughters and I went to Sea World. Neither one of my girls had ever been there, so we looked online and I found Reserve San Diego, and let me tell you, I'm so glad I did. We all had the most memorable time. Thank you Reserve San Diego!
Tip: If you want to go on a specific day, purchase your tickets from Reserve San Diego no later than the day before. We didn't know this and wanted to go on Thursday & thought I could purchase them on that day. Not that was not case, I purchased them on Thursday for Friday. But still had a blast! It's a beautiful place to visit.

"Only two days at SeaWorld San Diego"
July, 2016 NEW
This is an absolute MUST-SEE. We visited with my 4 yr old son. We got tickets for 7-day entrance, which was great. We only went two days, each day for 2 hours walking + 0.5 hr for lunch. If we were longer in SD, we would have gone at least 1-2 more times in order to experience everything. For his age 2 hrs in the mid morning was perfect. We didn't feel rushed and we saw a lot. It was cool, there was no wait at the entrance; lots of people and yet didn't feel crowded at all, because the area is so large. The staff were super friendly and clearly enjoying working with animals and kids. I recommend to everyone of all ages to visit. Each day we got one great toy from the shops. Now we take these toys to the pool and all kids there love to play.
Tip: Dress comfortably and cool, plan for multiple short visits, don't rush it, take your time to enjoy the shows.

When we decided to go for vacation to San Diego with are 5 and 8 years old kids, we were thinking about Legoland and San Diego Zoo. But my wife bought tickets for Seaworld. I was not sure if I wanted to go in there. I told my wife "Where are you bringing us?? We can find places like this close to where we live." But, I was wrong and I can tell this is a very fun place. We all enjoyed it. Great shows and rides.

"Sea World - Not Just For Kids!"
October, 2015
My husband and I had both been to Sea World years ago, but not together. We planned our day and reserved the encounters we were interested in before we arrived. It was helpful to see all of the choices at one time and easy to pick up our tickets when we got to the park. The Dolphin Encounter was the best behind-the-scenes tour we took as we had a very personable guide and trainers for that activity. The show modeled on Cirque was disappointing although they did try hard to entertain a big crowd. We bought the all-day meal pass which turned out to be too much food, too long a wait in the lines, and not worth it for us. Next time we will skip that and just choose among the stand-alone food vendors throughout the park. The park was beautiful as always and although we visited during a heat wave, we enjoyed the trip. The penguin exhibit was a welcome relief from the heat.....we stayed quite a while watching the tiny birds play! It is definitely worth it to take a few minutes and plan the day to make sure you have enough time for all the activities you want to do - you cannot go to every show or do every activity in one day, so figure out what will be the most fun for your group ahead of time. The on-line park maps and activity lists are super helpful.
Tip: Sun screen and hats are a must! The up-close parking fee is completely worth the cost at the end of a long day - buy that if nothing else and you won't regret it!

We live in Southern Ontario, Canada and have been to SeaWorld San Diego two times. Both times we have enjoyed the park. One of the things we appreciate about the park is the all day meal plan. The price is good and the food choice is excellent. The shows are very enjoyable and entertaining. Out children are not little and still had a great day, all day. Watching the animals interact with each other was extremely entertaining.
Tip: The meal plan is good value and be prepared for a great day.

Planning what "shows" you want to see before you go allows you to plan your visit to the rest of the park. Buy the one day visit the same as a year pass ticket. We want to go back and see what we missed. Maybe we can. The 4 year old and 11 year old in our group found wonderful things to enjoy, as well as the adults. We were surprised how much we did enjoy the park.

I heard the Shamu show is ending at the end of this year so if you want to go, now's the time. This park is easy to walk through and the shows are awesome. We LOVED the acrobat show, though i can't remember what it's exactly called... and the pet show with dogs was amazing! (I know dogs at sea world) trust me on this one though.

TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed July 26, 2016 NEW
Myself and my family of 4 (kids aged 7 & 4yrs) visited SeaWorld on two separate days and we absolutely loved it! Firstly, I believe that SeaWorld gets a bad rap from the activists and because of that documentary. I agree that it's wrong to breed Orcas in captivity, and there's no way their tanks are comparable to the ocean for space and room to move, but I don't think they do breed Orcas anymore and these handful of Killer Whales (that seem extremely healthy, happy and cared for) are making a sacrifice for the conservation of Orcas in the wild. The Orcas bring the crowds of people to SeaWorld, those people then immediately have a special place in their hearts, after visiting, for all sealife and want to donate to charities and help conserve wild ocean animal life. SeaWorld also rescue and rehabilitate injured wildlife. So enough defending the place, here's some information about our visits. On the first day we loved seeing the Polar Bears playing in their frosty caves then diving into the water, blowing bubbles out their nose right in front of us at the glass window. Amazing! The walrus was pretty fascinating too, swimming upside down on his back and coming right up to the window. Penguins were cool and had a great display. All the enclosures, displays and tanks are very clean, looked after and just great to look at. The park is pretty easy to navigate too, with lots of shady spots to rest and awesome gift shops with different animal merchandise all over the park. The kids loved the rides at 'Sesame Street Bay of Play' and the climbing ropes course was a big hit! The Dolphin Show was fantastic, I got emotional during the show even though I often see wild dolphins at the local beach where I live. If you're going in Summer bring your hat and Suncream, that stadium gets hot! We sat in the last row of the 'splash zone' and didn't get a drop of water on us, much to the disappointment of my 7yr old son ;) The Orca Show was later on in the afternoon and was equally as good as the Dolphin Show. I planned my trip to the USA from Australia with my main intention being to see an Orca Whale in real life. Bucket list - tick! Our second visit we checked out more of the animals we missed the first time and because the kid's Nanna came with us this time, Mummy and Daddy got to go on the Manta Roller Coaster = best ride of my entire holiday (and we went to Legoland and Disneyland) we went on 3 times in a row. This was not enough! :D The kids enjoyed the experience of touching the White Spotted Bamboo Shark and tiny (pedicure) fish in the touch pools. We also got to feel how slimey and spongey the giant sting rays are. The Shark tanks are the best. You get to see them from above the water, then beneath them on a travelator and then at the end of the journey you can take some great photos near the glass, there's so many sharks in there! At 4pm we headed to Shamu's tank to experience "Dine with Shamu" a delicious buffet style dinner at a table right next to the Orca tank. This was just like having your own private Orca Show right up close. There was only about 5 or 6 tables full of people taken. It was so, so beautiful. This was my absolute favourite part of the visit. Highly recommend Dine with Shamu! After dinner (still on a high) we took my 7yr old son on his first every roller coaster ride. The Journey to Atlantis is a cool ride (not so sure if it was the best idea as a first ever roller coaster ride though haha) we sat in the very front of the carriage and got absolutely soaked! I thought it was fun, but my son was pretty scared. If I get to come to San Diego SeaWorld again in my lifetime, I'd definitely make time to go on the Manta roller coaster first thing (while there's only a 5 minute wait) again and again and again. And I'd Dine with Shamu again, so special! I absolutely LOVE SeaWorld San Diego!
