"Fantastic Day but would not endorse the all-day dining for children"
September, 2017
Had a fantastic day at SW with my 8 yr old granddaughter. We were both very happy with how close you could get to the dolphins/penguins etc and all of the shows that we went to were absolutely great. She had a great time on the rides as well. They had a wonderful park. My only disappointment was the all-day dining that I purchased for her (I didn't get a pass for myself). I thought it would be good as kids are constantly wanting to eat and so purchased the pass on my way into the park. I would suggest to anyone considering this pass for a kid to go to a few of the restaurants and check out what they have to offer. We hit three restaurants during the day - the first offered pasta or chicken fingers (already sitting dished out on the counter) the pasta was cold and barely edible - she ate the watermelon and applesauce and had water for a drink. Second try had mac/cheese or chicken fingers - this was worse than first restaurant - fruit was not appetizing looking (watermelon or strawberries seemed to be the two choices everywhere) the last restaurant of the day, she ordered chicken fingers and she did enjoy those. Had I have had any idea of the extremely limited choices for kids, I would have skipped the dining pass and instead used that $20.00 to buy her a lunch of her choice. A number of snacks were purchased throughout the park as the restaurants were a miss. Just my two cents on the dining. Perhaps if you have boys or big eaters that would actually go into these restaurants once per hour, I don't honestly think they are worth it.

Tip: Plan out shows you def don't want to miss and keep checking your time. We were there from open till close and managed to miss the pet show! The show with the Sea Lions should NOT be missed - if only to watch "Biff" - this guy was hilarious!

We visited Sea World because we had purchased the Southern California City Pass. It wasn't originally on my agenda, but we knew we were going to Disneyland and this seemed like a fun add on. I didn't know if I would come back after seeing Blackfish, but we decided to give it a go. I think they've made some positive changes. The park was very clean and it good shape. The grounds were beautiful and we saw several people weeding garden beds during the day. My little kids enjoyed the small rides, and my oldest enjoyed Atlantis and Manta, but there wasn't too much in the mid-range in the terms of rides for my middle, more timid boy to try. We enjoyed the three shows we saw, the dolphin show, the sea lion show, and the orca show. They were all well done, and it's good to see more normal behaviors being shown during the orca show. Those were the only 3 shows available on the day we visited during the off season. We had lunch in the park and the pizzas we got were pretty good, definitely not terrible. Overall this was a more enjoyable experience for the whole family than Legoland was, so I'm glad we came here and I believe we would return again.

this our third trip to Seaworld and we all agree this is our best visit. we think because the shows were more about education and the animals. We did breakfast with the Orcas and that was amazing. My 14yr old did a Beluga whale interaction and loved getting up close to the whales. reasonably priced.

"SeaWorld is a Magical and Educational outing for the Whole Family not fishy at all!"

My two youngest daughters and their families met my wife and I at SeaWorld for the day, and we had a great time the facilities were clean and well maintained, the staff respectful & polite. Here is my thoughts: I am grateful t SeaWorld by honoring my service to our country in their actions. They provided 4 tickets free with proof of military service. I paid for the 5 ticket, so that my Son-In-Law would join us, great investment, the time we spent together at SeaWorld (3 Generations) was to coin a phrase Priceless. My Grandchildren stuck to me like glue holding my hand and asking deep and probing questions. Like, Paca (that title is grandpa, to a 2 year old a title that is more defining then my professional title of Engineer), when you were a sailor did they have animals like this in the olden days? I want to touch that fish will you hold my hand and protect me, please Paca? Paca tell me again about the shark you saw in real life in the Coast Guard. Spending the day at SeaWorld was educational yes, but it was a bonding of generations which lives in my soul. When you go focus on family, share experiences relax and enjoy the sights, and decide to be present with your family leave your phone in your pocket for emergency use only.

We had fun taking our daughter. Although it was quite busy, it is worth it to see the training that goes in to preparing for their shows. It is a tourist magnet though.
