"A great place for family"
September, 2018 NEW
I have not been here since I was 6 years old. This park has changed so much. There are more aquarium spots to see marine life. There are more shows and time to get to shows. We were able to watch Dolphins, Orcas, and Sea Lions. We got to take a nice skyride over the ocean (I have not been able to do that before). And, even our experience for Souvenirs was so great, we got something for our children and our grandkids. In addition, we got a photo with someone in a dolphin outfit and also with a sea lion, that was sticking its tongue out at us. We want to re-live the experience in 2019 with our kids and grandkids. Thank you for having us at your Sea World, San Diego.

Tip: It is up to you to have a Photo pass, and pay for the pack at the counter. If you just want Digital photos, use your phones for photos and stay off the internet/cell service to conserve battery life. Also, try the Pineapple smoothie. We made it a Pineapple float by buying one of the fruit cups and adding the pineapple slices to the cup.

We purchased sea world tickets through reserve sandiego. This was where we found the cheapest price for tickets. It was super easy and you didn’t need to print anything out. They just scanned it from the email that was sent. Would definitely use this site again for future travel.

Sea World was a lot smaller of a place than I expected. Mostly there were just eating establishments and gift shops. They also have some shows that they do with the sea life there, and that they do really well; however, those only happen at certain times and you may have to wait around for them..

Tip: use reserve to get cheaper tickets! the overall experience is not worth the full price...

"Good place, very expensive to eat and drink"

the place is good for young children although it requires good freshen up (quite old dated). Eating on the spot is a total rip off for not even quality food - would recommend bringing your own food/drinks if you are with children especially. It's a pity the parking doesn't come cheap, approx 20 USD for the day which adds up to the expensive entrance cost (there is not much reduction for kids)

If you grow up in the middle of the country like I did, you have no idea what marine life is all about. Sea World opened my eyes and my kids eyes to a marine world beyond anything we had expected. The park is nice and clean, people are cheerful, and you leave the place wanting tom come back for more!

We visited Sea World on a Friday during school hoping we’d get a less filled Park. Well, that worked out but nothing else seemed to go all that well. Multiple rides and attractions were all closed, the Manta, Bayside Sky Ride, Dolphin Days, Elmo’s Flying Fish, The Large Amphitheater, All Closed. It was certainly not worth spending $55+ a ticket when virtually half the park isn’t operational. The staff when you could find them never seemed happy to help or answer questions, some rides were so short staffed one employee was running everything like the Arctic Helicopter Ride. It just overall was not an experience even worth half of the cost that was spent. Unfortunately I think we’ll be avoiding Sea World trips in the future unless some things really change making the experience worth spending the money.

$22 to park set the day off with a bang! Everything inside is expensive, food, souvenirs, paying extra for certain rides, shows, etc. Orca show was great along with the sea lion show and pets show. But the dolphin show wasn't even running, plus the only polar bear they had was in Pittsburgh? Pretty disappointed really, maybe why the crowd was so small as well! I get they have to feed the animals, but the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago has free parking and free admission and is my favorite zoo! They survive off of donations, and with all the money in San Diego, just look at the yachts in the docks they should quit hammering the guests and start getting donations from the rich!

Another one of San Diego best location and a valuable lesson for the little ones on how Sea World contributes to the well being of the ocean and ocean life. Show how Sea World cares for and provides care to loss and wounded whales, sea lions and many others that need saving. THANK YOU from this Navy Veteran and my Grandkids thank you.
