"Great Place to visit with family!!!!"
Reviewed October, 2015
When we decided to go for vacation to San Diego with are 5 and 8 years old kids, we were thinking about Legoland and San Diego Zoo. But my wife bought tickets for Seaworld. I was not sure if I wanted to go in there. I told my wife "Where are you bringing us?? We can find places like this close to where we live." But, I was wrong and I can tell this is a very fun place. We all enjoyed it. Great shows and rides.

"Sea World - Not Just For Kids!"
Reviewed October, 2015
My husband and I had both been to Sea World years ago, but not together. We planned our day and reserved the encounters we were interested in before we arrived. It was helpful to see all of the choices at one time and easy to pick up our tickets when we got to the park. The Dolphin Encounter was the best behind-the-scenes tour we took as we had a very personable guide and trainers for that activity. The show modeled on Cirque was disappointing although they did try hard to entertain a big crowd. We bought the all-day meal pass which turned out to be too much food, too long a wait in the lines, and not worth it for us. Next time we will skip that and just choose among the stand-alone food vendors throughout the park. The park was beautiful as always and although we visited during a heat wave, we enjoyed the trip. The penguin exhibit was a welcome relief from the heat.....we stayed quite a while watching the tiny birds play! It is definitely worth it to take a few minutes and plan the day to make sure you have enough time for all the activities you want to do - you cannot go to every show or do every activity in one day, so figure out what will be the most fun for your group ahead of time. The on-line park maps and activity lists are super helpful.
Tip: Sun screen and hats are a must! The up-close parking fee is completely worth the cost at the end of a long day - buy that if nothing else and you won't regret it!

"Family"

We live in Southern Ontario, Canada and have been to SeaWorld San Diego two times. Both times we have enjoyed the park. One of the things we appreciate about the park is the all day meal plan. The price is good and the food choice is excellent. The shows are very enjoyable and entertaining. Out children are not little and still had a great day, all day. Watching the animals interact with each other was extremely entertaining.
Tip: The meal plan is good value and be prepared for a great day.

"Too Little Time, Too Much To See"
Reviewed March, 2015
Planning what "shows" you want to see before you go allows you to plan your visit to the rest of the park. Buy the one day visit the same as a year pass ticket. We want to go back and see what we missed. Maybe we can. The 4 year old and 11 year old in our group found wonderful things to enjoy, as well as the adults. We were surprised how much we did enjoy the park.

The dolphin encounter and the shows were awesome. The park itself was okay, not as big as I thought it would be.

We enjoyed our day at Sea World. We were lucky to get tickets from the military program. Kids loved it and enjoyed about able to touch a few of the fish. The shows are well done and the roller coasters are fun! Will return!

"A park in transition - not what it once was"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed May 11, 2016 NEW

SeaWorld seems to be a park in transition, going from sealife on exhibit to a themed amusement park. Loved and visited SeaWorld all my life and I was really disappointed this time around. They should just end the orca show now instead of later this year. They can't be in the water with the orcas and for 25 mins, they just let them swim around and splash people in the soak zone. The screen on stage was a 25 min ad for conservation. You don't need to tell me, I already know all the wonderful things SeaWorld does for animal rescue. Tell the people who are trying to shut you down, they don't come in the park anyway. The seal and otter show was good but definitely not as good as it used to be. I feel they cut back on animal interaction there also. The walrus no longer is a part of the show at the end. The Pets Rulz show on the other hand is awesome! Everyone in my party enjoyed that the most out of everything there. Some of the sealife exhibits seem to be amiss also. The start of changes to come? I'm not sure. My daughter loved the roller coaster, ,Manta. Line was short so went on 4 times. Certainly not worth $210 + $43 for food/drink for the day. I won't be returning anytime soon. Farewell to the SeaWorld that I once knew and loved.
