It's a perfect way to see the La Jolla Cove and Sea Caves on a kayak for two. We visited in August when it was Leopard Shark season and rented snorkel gear after our kayak tour to take advantage of one of the top ten snorkeling spots in the world.

Explore the Seven Sea Caves and kayak through three of the four microhabitats present in the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. You’ll watch sea lions sunbathing on the rocks and swimming in the sanctuary. Bright orange garibaldi standout among the vibrant green sea grass and numerous other fish swim around delighting the eye. You might even see dolphins cruising alongside your kayak before you make your way back and prepare to surf your kayak back to shore. Throughout the summer months, you’ll see the biggest Leopard Shark Aggregation in the world. In the winter, witness Gray Whales on their annual migration from Alaska to Baja California. Memorable experiences await you. Entry into Emerald Cave depends upon the safety of the conditions and is just one small part of this amazing tour. Regardless of entering or not, you'll have a great time!

Tour runs every day of the year (EXCEPT Christmas day and the 4th of July) as long as conditions permit/safety.

A perfectly exhilarating way to explore the sea caves along the shores of La Jolla. The experience is great for any level kayaker, family and friends. The staff are professional, knowledgeable and skilled at their jobs. The swells were huge and fun to ride. We had a blast, learned about the habitat and got a great workout. Would definitely recommend!

I have been to San Diego over hundreds of times. I have never been to that part of La Jolla before. Abby and Cal, apologies if I misspelled your names, created a great experience. Water camera cases are $30, so if you need one, you might consider purchasing one in advance. We saw sea lions, went into a cave, jumped out of the kayak to find Nemo. Abby and Cal, thank you both!

"Amazing Sea Kayaking Tour with Nate"

One word: fantastic. We visited friends in San Diego who recommended Sea kayaking. They had never been with this company before but we thought it was worth a try. Thank goodness we did. We had the most amazing time. Nate, our guide, was full of information, funny, reassuring(!) and confident to show us into the caves, which was a great bonus as we saw other tours avoiding them. Our friends will always recommend this company going forwards based on their previous experiences too. From the start when you book, to checking in and getting your gear, everyone is so friendly. Clara (I think) helped give us with a quick intro and even took a massive wave to the face getting us in the water (screenshot of video as proof...) The shop is great and the atmosphere around the trip was so relaxing. All in all, a great stop off on our visit over from the UK. We will be back next time in South Cali!! Amazing. Thanks.
